Herbed Cheese Log

This creamy, savoury and herbaceous recipe packs a punch and is utterly addictive!

Cream cheese, Cheddar cheese and Goat cheese come together to lend a delicious flavor and texture to this recipe.

With every bite, you’re left with an incredible mouth feel as the herbed crust adds a unique flavor. It’s creamy yet not overwhelming!

Serve this gourmet appetizer alongwith some crackers or lay it on your cheeseboard for some pizzaz. This hassle-free make-ahead recipe is perfect for festivities and an absolute crowd-pleaser.

P.S. Tempering (bringing it to room temperature) the cheese before infusing it with spices is vital.

Ingredients for the Log

( 1 cup=200 ml, 1 tbsp=15 ml)

1 packet Philadelphia Cream Cheese
½ cup Cheddar Cheese (grated)
½ cup Goat Cheese
3-4 tbsp Roasted garlic chips (minced)
1-2 tbsp Mixed dried herbs
A few drops Of Tabasco
Chili flakes to taste
A handful of Parsley leaves, chopped
A handful of Basil leaves chopped

Instructions for the Cheese Log

1. Remove the cheese from the fridge and get it to room temperature.
2. Add in the cheeses, garlic, herbs, tabasco & chili flakes.
3. Add in half of the basil and parsley leaves.
4. Shape it into a log and roll on to the balance herbs.  Wrap in klinfilm. Roll tightly.
5. Refrigerate the same for 2-3 hours in the fridge until it’s firm.
6. Remove the log and unwrap before serving. Serve with crackers.
